His life story starts with him growing up in a poor family and harsh living conditions, this has a big impact on his life. The story goes on to talk about every phase of his life and how through all the ups and downs, he remains positive, witty, and full of surprises. Many humorous events unfold and give the reader a good sense of the personality of Manuel and the way he tackles these life events. It is a good read, especially if you know Portuguese!
